Do you remember Railroad Salvage, actually the commercials?

WWII veteran, Rueben “Rubie” Vine was well-known for his commercials that made you stop and look what he had on sale.

Vine was a New Haven resident who opened his first store in 1950. Vine was the king of close out sales.

Vine had stores across both Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Vine passed away in 2011 at the age of 85.

There is one remaining store in West Haven, CT.
